Vision For Life launches first mobile visual health unit in France - Essilor See Change

In December, Essilor’s social impact fund, Vision For Life launched its very first mobile visual health unit in France, situated at an emergency shelter center for migrants in Ivry-sur-Seine, run by NGO, Emmaus Solidarité. With this mobile visual health unit, Vision For Life will be able to bring free vision care in partnership with the many NGOs it collaborates with to underserved communities around the country more easily.

The mobile unit is fully equipped with ophthalmology instruments supplied by Essilor, enabling beneficiaries to receive a complete eye exam with an ophthalmologist on-board and glasses on the spot.

With this significant step in our ability to bring visual health closer to those in need, we are proud to contribute to bringing better sight to underserved populations in France. Thanks to this mobile vision care unit, we will really be able to improve the daily lives of thousands of people every year, in line with our mission of improving lives by improving sight.
